Master Simply Music Teacher Mark S. Meritt

Mark is a Master Simply Music Piano Teacher, teaching the method in-person since 2008 and online since 2009. A supplemental content developer, Mark created Tune Toolkit Comp & Improv (Vol. 1-2), the Happy Birthday Supplement, co-created the Curriculum Guide with Master Teacher Laurie Richards and Play with Simply Music with Master Teacher Robin Keehn. He has presented to Simply Music teachers at conferences and via webinars, contributed to Simply Music’s blog The Playground, and also serves as Simply Music’s Notation Editor and Simpedia Editor. A musician since preschool and songwriter since his teens, he’s written musicals and screenplays that agents represented, played piano on national TV including once doing Name That Tune with Rosie O’Donnell, performs and teaches as a musical director for improvisational theatre, plays live by-request piano karaoke sing-alongs, and has many other interests.
